A new chair with curtains to match.

I think I am in love!

Yes you heard me right, my new pineapple design on a line fabric, arrived in the style of a beautiful chair, as well as matching curtains, this past week and I love them to pieces.

This print was inspired by my love for colonial prints and my upbringing in the Bahamas.
I have always felt a need to have a little part of the tropics imbedded into my little cottage in Sussex, and this seemed to tick all of the boxes.

I was wondering where they could be placed within in my little cottage so that I can enjoy them throughout the day, and I finally decided to try them in the lounge. This is our family room where we can relax in the evenings, and although it is a bright and open room, I felt it needed a bit more “fun” and a bit of an ‘uplift’; and these two items fit the bill and I now feel like the room is a lot more complete.

At first I was a bit unsure after ordering them that there might be such a thing as “too much pineapple”, however as soon as I got the curtains up and the chair set in place, I knew it was perfect.

I also went for an expensive leather bronze piping trim, which has brought the pieces together as well as making them that bit more special.
These designs are unique and are not sold online, although I would consider special orders.

I had really great fun designing these and seeing the finished products in my own home has really made it all that more worth it. They are wonderful and I am forever smiling as soon as I enter that room and see the array of pineapple prints in front of me.

It’s almost like going back in time to living in the Bahamas.
Oh, if only the weather could come back too…

That’s enough from me tonight, tomorrow mornings early call and trek to the show is calling!
I hope to see you all in London over the next two weeks.

Christmas Delights

I know what you are going to say…

“Nicole it hasn’t even been Halloween or Bonfire night yet, why are you talking about Christmas so soon?”

Well with only 2 months to go, Christmas started quite some time ago for me.
I have been working on new sketches and designs for months, and the time has finally arrived to announce all of our new pieces, which will be show-cased at our Christmas events this November.

It is scary to think that it is only 2 months to go until Christmas!
I haven’t even stopped to think about what to get the kids or Richard, but I am sure once these two shows are over, I will have some down-time to get organised for the big day.

So first things first, let’s get through these next two shows!
I must say, I am both extremely excited and incredibly nervous for the next few weeks.
I’m having to stay up in London, so that means leaving the kids; as well as juggling all stock and manning my stall alone! (Here’s to hoping that a few of my fabulous friends will pop up to look around and perhaps relieve me for a loo break when I need one!)
Part of me wants the next few weeks to pass by as quickly as possible but I know that as soon as I say that, time will tick by as slow as ever…which I suppose could be a good thing, especially with all these tea-towels and napkins that still need folding and wrapping.

But enough of that now…

I am proud to present to you a few more of our NEW christmas designs and products!

We have two new pieces in our wonderful Apple and Blackberry Crumble collection:
Apple and Blackberry Crumble Napkins    Apple and Blackberry Crumble Apron

In our “plum pudding” range we have three new additions:

Plum Pudding Napkins                                              Plum Pudding Hob Cover                                        Plum Pudding Aprons
Plum-Pudding-Knapkin-1296
      Plum-Pudding-Hob-Cover-1298     Plum-Pudding-Apron-1260

And finally, we have our Noel Napkins, which are perfect for your Christmas table:

That’s all for now, I’ll pop in again soon, but for now the napkin folding calls!

Christmas Show Preparation is a go!

holly2
It seems to all be go in the Phillips household!

The next few weeks in the diary are well and truly packed full, especially with both The Spirit of Christmas and the Country Living Fair just around the corner.

Tea towels are being wrapped;
Napkins folded and tied;
and orders are appearing left right and centre.

Not only that but the windows are being taken out this weekend;
and I’m trying to stock take as well as prepare for the two London shows…
All whilst the kids are on half term break! (Isn’t it typical?!)

But things seem to be slowly falling into place, albeit if my head feels far from my body at this present time.
I’ve enlisted some extra hands to help me with all of this madness going on,
and I am getting quite excited to show you all some of my new designs for this Winter!

Of course life would not feel totally fulfilled without a Christmas tea towel hanging over the oven door as I get to work baking and cooking for my lovely family. Christmas and winter is about snuggling down and spending time together, with the fresh aroma of baked Christmas cookies (A Philips household tradition – which I hope to share with you all some time soon) and the kids helping to decorate them for Father Christmas.

So this year I have the delight of sharing with you my three new tea towel designs:

Roasted-Chesnuts-TeaTowel-1-1270Noel  Plum-Pudding-TeaTowel-1

This years new additions are “Noel”, “Roasted chestnuts” and “Plum Pudding”; just in time for the festive season.
I managed to spend my Wednesday evening getting to grips with the website and uploading these new products, so we are ready to go!

I hope you enjoy these new designs as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

Now off to wrap more tea towels, which seem to have taken over the whole of my kitchen much to my families delight, but needs must.

Roll on the next week and a half…
